Funda
Of course Funda, should not be missing from the list of apps. The right app if you are looking for a new home or if you get a kick out of looking at other people’s homes.
Huisvink
Want to find your dream home quickly and easily? With Huisvink you can compare houses imported from Funda.nl and Jaap.nl. Which house is closer to your work, is bigger, is closer to the station?
Open huis
Handy statistics and demographics about your (new) neighbourhood. How many households with children, how far is the bike ride to a day care centre, what is the average income in the neighbourhood and many more fun facts. The data comes from the CBS (Central Bureau of Statistics).
Blokster
Looking for a house in the area between Haarlem and Den Bosch that is not yet on Funda? Then check out Blokster. They work together with different parties and say they show exclusive houses in their app.
BuitenBeter
If your municipality participates in BuitenBeter, you can use the app to report problems in the public space. For example, if the lamppost in front of your door is broken or if there is a hole in the road surface. Take a picture, report the location and the municipality will take care of it.
OmgevingsAlert
Does your municipality participate in OmgevingsAlert? Then you can look up all sorts of information about permits in your area. Is your neighbour getting a dormer? What trees are being cut down? Or is there industry in the area? You can view information by address on a handy map, in a list or with push notifications.

Houzz Interior Design Ideas
This app (in English) has been named ‘Best App of 2016’ by Google. This app has the largest database of living ideas online. Renovate or redecorate by room, style and location; you can select anything and view photos. You can even virtually place a piece of furniture to see how it looks.
Ikea Place
With this app you can see if Ikea furniture fits in your interior. Point your camera at your interior, search for a piece of Ikea furniture in the library and see how it looks in your interior.
The ultimate app for inspiration and creating moodboards. Browse other people’s homes, save photos from the internet and create your own dream home.
Wonen.nl
Free magazines when you get started with your bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, garden, interior, fireplace, stove, conservatory, pool, floor or are planning to build or renovate. The magazines are packed with living news, trends, photos, practical information and tips.
Safety and waste
AfvalWijzer
Useful if you forget to take out the garbage every time. Enter your zip code and house number and this app will tell you when to take out your garbage. Or check the waste calendar yourself. In addition, the app provides useful tips and you can share tips on how you can best separate waste.
Woningcheck
Using questions and videos, you get tips on how to reduce the risk of fire in each room in your home. This app was developed by the Fire Brigade and the Dutch Burns Foundation.
Energie
When it comes to energy, each energy provider has its own apps. These are too many to mention, so check with your energy provider. In addition, there are several smart applications for energy saving that work with their own apps. Consult the user manual or the manufacturer’s website for this.
